Lindsay Turns 12

It is hard to believe that 12 years ago today, Lindsay was born! After 3 miscarriages we were thrilled to have a little sister for Shae (and she was thrilled too!!). Lindsay looked so different from Shae when she was born, she had a head full of beautiful dark hair!

Here is our Christmas card picture from 1997.
This is one of the last pictures I have of Lindsay before she got sick and her brain injury occurred. I LOVE this picture of both girls! (Shae looks sooo much like Lindsay now in this picture)
Here is Lindsay just coming out of sedation after her heart failure/brain injury. What a different life she woke up to. But God is sovereign and He had her life all planned out before this ever took place!
Jeremiah 29:11

"For I know the plans I have for you" declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

This morning Shae and Anna both went in to cuddle with the birthday girl! What could be a better way to wake up?
I took cupcakes to Lindsay's school this afternoon. When you visit Special Ed classrooms it really boosts your self esteem, the kids want to hug you and they tell you how pretty they think you are. Too bad we "normal" people can't be more verbally loving toward others, huh!?
Lindsay and her buddy Lucio. He told me he is "a stud" today! (He said he is going to marry Lindsay one day too...)
We have a family celebration planned this weekend, tonight it is Lindsay's favorite food..salad and pizza with mint chocolate chip ice cream for dessert!
What a fun ride these last 12 years have been with such a special girl. We are so blessed that God has trusted us to be her family!
Happy Birthday Lindsay!
