Weekend 'O Volleyball

We went to Medford, Oregon for the tournament so we left at lunch on Friday and drove straight to the mall for some wonderful tax free shopping. We always stay at the {sketchy) Super 8 Motel because they have a water slide. We walked into the room where the pool is and it was so hot and steamy all I could think about was all the SWINE FLU germs that must be living there!!
Did I mention the loud screaming was echoing in the germ ridden room?
The girls relaxed in the hot tub for a few minutes before going back to their rooms to shower (and talk about boys!)
They were up at 6:15 the next morning ready to go!
It was tough competition for our little school but the girls held their own and played well.

I love these girls!
It was fun hearing about all their "troubles", hearing the laughter and listening to Miley Cyrus for 2 1/2 hours each way! We even hit snow over "the pass" on the way back home. I am very thankful for the great school my girls attend and the wonderful friends they have. There is nothing more comforting than knowing that your kids are surrounded by other families who have the same values and convictions you have!

OK, Inger....I have been MIA in the blog world for almost 2 months. I so enjoyed catching up on your posts. You have been one busy girl! I loved reading about your Lynchburg trip. Stephanie and Barry were at my house two weeks ago and we were talking about it.

Inger, this post made me laugh. I can totally smell that pool room right now and feel the hot, humid feel of it, too!! And I can also just imagine the giddy, girl talk/laughter that took place in the car. I bet you needed some time alone in a quiet room when you got home:) You're a good mom!

I'm with Donna - can totally smell the indoor hotel pool right now. But how cool is it that they have a slide! And by the way, I LOVE watching volleyball. My niece plays down at Pensacola Christian College and we went to a tournament there last year. Is Shae going to play at LU next year?

Hope you have a great week!
