YA Banquet

On Friday night, Scott, Shae and I attended the banquet with the YA Alumni. Thanks to Jenn for babysitting Lindsay and Anna ALL DAY on Friday so that we could go to all the events!
Look who we ran into at the hotel on the way .....Precious Christy (Damas) Martin and her sweet baby, Jesse!! Christy's parents were attending the reunion so she and her {cutie-pie} brother and sweet Jesse drove in from Tennessee!! She worked at our camp when she was in high school and she remembers Shae as a 4 year old!!!
{I hope that my daughter will grow up to be as precious as Christy!}
My handsome husband and beautiful daughter. I can't believe she is so grown up. She has been such a fun child to raise, and each stage of her life seems more fun than the last. What a blessing it is when kids grow up to make good choices and honor their parents. We are excited to see what the future hold for her and pray she continues to do what's right.
{Thank you, Jesus!}
I hesitate to put a picture of myself on here, especially RIGHT AFTER Laurie and Shae (and at the end of the evening after crying!!)...UGH!! But, I had to prove I was there!!
Mick and Rick Vigneulle were the entertainment for the evening. They have been performing in public HS assemblies for 20 years and have seen thousands come to Christ!
Gordon spoke, and inspired, as usual. This faithful man has a heart for kids {and those who work with kids} like none other! His unwavering faith makes him who he is. He and Dottie have sacrificed so much over the years to continue in ministry and they are still passionate in the pursuit of God's will.

It was a fun and inspirational evening!

"Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine.
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;
and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you;
when you walk through the fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you.
For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Saviour."
Isaiah 43:1b-3a

Looks like it was a really fun evening. I'm so glad you all got to go. For some reason, God keeps bringing that verse up to me lately. Thanks for the reminder. By the way... you are a beautiful woman as well. Don't sell yourself short.:)
